We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to patients in one long-term care facility. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping others and making a positive impact on patients’ lives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Follow established care plans and assist with medical procedures under the supervision of registered nurses
  • Maintain a clean and organized patient environment
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care

Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices
  • Experience in long term care facility
  • Familiarity with dementia care principles and techniques
  • Ability to work effectively with seniors’ residents
  • Proficiency in vital signs taking
  • Understanding of behavioral health principles and interventions
  • Knowledge of High Fall Risk Precaution guidelines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Qualifications

  • Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program
  • Previous experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting preferred
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Tagalog, Polish or Spanish Language will be a plus!
